School Events

  Title : Awareness Camp on Dental Hygiene

The Emptor Club of the school organized an awareness camp on the occasion of Parent Teachers Meeting on 27th August 2016. The objective was to sensitize the students, parents and the society at large about dental care and various general ways to maintain a healthy smile. They were also familiarized with some quick remedies to get relief from dental problems. The efforts of the students were highly appreciated. 

       
  Title : Debates and Divergence of views enriches us as an individual

In an endeavour to promote this idea , Hindi Debate competition was organized for students of class VIII on 30 August 2016. Students presented their views in favour and against the motion on the topic   खर्चों में कटौती, बुद्धिमत्ता या कंजूसी. The idea was to enforce communication skills and enhance personal expression of participants.  It was indeed a fruitful effort to promote critical thinking and creativity amongst students. This activity promoted development of skills and knowledge that will help the debaters become elite and future-ready students. The result of the activity is as follows:

         
 
  Title : Janmashtami Celebration

The school wore a festive look as it celebrated Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna with great fervour. The morning saw the entire school submerged in the wave of dignity and spirituality. Students sang and danced on the devotional tunes. There was merriment all over. 

     
  Title : Visit to President House

Team MPS visited Honourable President of India on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.


 
  Title : Saluting the Spirit of India..Independence Day Celebrations

A special assembly was held in the school on 12 August 2016 to mark the 70th year of freedom from the British Rule. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the Tricolour by the honourable Principal. This was followed by pledge taking ceremony by Harshit Jain of class XII.

The School choir presented a patriotic song which lent an aura of National pride and filled the air with Nationalistic zeal and enthusiasm. The thought provoking and inspirational speech by Amisha Thukral of class X awakened everyone's feelings towards the motherland.

The celebrations culminated with the motivational address by the honourable Principal wherein she urged the students follow the path shown by our historical leaders and advised  them to work towards liberating India from the clutches of evils like poverty, corruption, literacy and terrorism. 

         
  Title : Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club

The Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club of the school was held on 6 August 2016. The chief guests for the occasion were Rtn. Vivek Sardana, Rtn. Sunil Jain Rtn. Rajesh Malhotra. The event was also attended by two rotractors Ujjwal Arora and Raunaq Singh Anand. Other guests present on the occasion were Madam Principal Ms. Alka Kapur, Vice Principal Ms. Mena Mittle and Director Academics Ms. Geeta Sehgal.

It commenced with the lighting of the lamp by distinguished guests followed by a welcome dance Shiv Stuti. Thereafter the annual report for the session 2015-16 was read by Immediate past president Sakshi Anand. The newly elected president Harsh Vardhan was collared by Sakshi Anand, thereby entrusting him with the responsibilities.

The newly elected board of student appointees were proudly honoured with badges by the dignitaries and other members of the Interact Club. The newly elected members pledged to execute their duties as Interactors with utmost sincerity and consciousness.

The event concluded with the inspirational speech of the guests and Madam Principal whose words enthused in the newly elected members a spirit to maintain integrity and greater glory to the institution. 

         
   
  Title : Emerging victorious as always

Adding glory to our outstanding achievements, our school has been conferred with Best Interact Club Award for the year 2015-16 by the Rotary Club of Delhi Aakash. This recognition gave a true meaning to the selfless service provided while reaching out the community as a whole. 

 
  Title : Run for Rio, a Symbol of Agility and Energy

With an endeavour to celebrate the Olympic mood, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through the Sports Authority of India organized a Mass Run called Run for Rio on July 31, 2016. It was flagged off by the honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Our students participated in great number with zeal and enthusiasm. The run commenced from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium and concluded at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium. The objective of the run was to not only demonstrate to our athletes that the whole country is proud of them but also to connect the children with the Olympic spirit and power of sports. It was indeed a welcoming experience for all.  

 
  Title : Global Tiger Walk

A team consisting of three teachers and thirty students attended the Walk for the Tiger on the occasion of International Tiger Day organized by The National Tiger Conservation Authority, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Government of India on Friday 29 July 2016 from Rajpath to India Gate. The objective for the drive was to spread awareness for saving our national animal. Students shouted slogans and proliferated the message of Save Tiger, Save Forests, Save Future.

         
 
  Title : Story Telling Activity (Inter house)

Story telling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today.

Stories have power. They delight, enchant, touch, teach, inspire and motivate us by imprinting images in our mind. The learners of class IV experienced the same during English Story Telling Competition organized for them on 28 July 2016. Stories on the themes Nature, Fairy Tales, Mother and Animals were presented by the participants of Gandhi, Subhash, Nehru and Tagore house respectively. The emotions and learning that the stories held touched the heart of everyone present.
