  Title : English Champs Felicitated

English Ambassadors from class II to V were felicitated for showing their exemplary efforts and participation in the spoken English campaign initiated by the English Department. II C, III D, IV B and V A received the English Ambassador trophies by the Director Academics, Mrs. Geeta Sehgal. The Director Academics, Mrs. Geeta Sehgal addressed the assembly highlighting the importance of spoken English in the era of globalisation. 

  Title : Special Assembly on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)

A special assembly on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was conducted for the students on October 31, 2017 on the occasion of his birth anniversary. The students were enlightened about his life and achievements. An informative video about the Iron man of India was shown which highlighted his commitment and dedication towards the nation. The assembly culminated with a pledge to instill the virtue of patriotism in students. The assembly proved to be motivational for all the spectators.


  Title : A curious mind knows no limits

An event, ATL marathon was organized by the school on October 28, 2017. The students participated with zeal and enthusiasm and emerged with their innovative prototypes towards the visitors. Stimulating ideas on smart cities, combating pollution and curbing hazards through plastic wastes were discussed. Several opinions regarding potential scientific innovations such as Student Security System, Chopper Bike, Sky Ambulance, Earthquake Detector Device, Innovation in Irrigation, Herbal Garden etc. were presented. The event proved to be a massive success as it was not only interesting  and informative but also depicted advanced  and developed face of science. The diligent efforts of the students were appreciated by parents, teachers and all the onlookers.

  Title : English Ambassadors: A way to promote Our Second Language

A special assembly dedicated to the distribution of English Ambassador trophies was conducted for the students of classes VI to XII on October 24, 2017 in the stage lawns. The programme titled English Ambassadors was initiated in the month of April 2017 where all the English teachers took the upheavals to promote English language amongst the students. Badges were given to the students as a means of positive reinforcement. This project got an overwhelming response for the children understood the relevance of spoken English. The gathering was enlightened with the gracious presence of our madam Principal Ms Alka Kapur who felicitated the respective section from each class with a trophy of Class Champ for their commendable spoken English. Her noteworthy address on the globally renowned language underlying its importance , chiseled every heart. The appreciation that the Ambassadors got motivated others to follow and be the best always.


  Title : Creativity on its Peak

The School organized a Historical Scroll Making activity on October 25, 2017 for the students of class VIII. Another feather in the creative cap of MPS was witnessed when the young artists emerged with creative and innovative historical scrolls. It was mesmerizing to see their wonderful ideas in form of their presentations. A large number of participants utilized their skills to make the event a huge success.


  Title : Wealth Lies in Health

The school organized a Quality Circle for Class X on the theme Health Consciousness Among Youngsters on October 25, 2017. The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and highlighted the merits of nutritious diet and regular exercise. The spectators were apprised with the significance of attaining a healthy lifestyle. Several myths regarding crash dieting and fasting were busted during the enlightening session. The event was a huge success as the spectators not only enjoyed the show but also realized the worth of renouncing sedentary way of living.

  Title : Creativity Knows No Bounds

Students of class VII enthusiastically participated in shape art making activity held in school premises on 24 October, 2017. They created beautiful paintings, folders and envelopes in Warli Art. Emphasis was laid on enhancing the creativity and imagination of students which was successfully attained after completion of activity. 


The festival of lights came alive at MPS on 17th November 2017 when the whole school wore a festive look with colours and diyas all around.
A special assembly was organized wherein the students were enlightened about the significance of the five-day celebration from Dhanteras to Bhai-Dooj. A mesmerizing song was sung by the juniors, which spread the light of joy in the hearts of viewers. The day also witnessed a plethora of activities for various classes ranging from Rangoli making, Toran making, Rocket making and Bandhan-var making. The whole display was overwhelming Pre-primary students dressed in ethnic attires were a feast to the eyes. Their dresses highlighted the diversities in the celebration of Diwali across the country. The skit on Say No to Crackers by the tiny tots conveyed the message the how this pious festival can be celebrated in many other ways than just by burning crackers and polluting the environment. The children went back home carrying the message of love, peace and Clean and Green Diwali

  Title : Burn your Negavities not Crackers

Crackers hold a lot of fascination for both young and old alike. Despite a growing anti cracker campaign there is no dip in its popularity. Taking up this cause,Modern  Public  School
Organised a massive Anti Cracker Rally on  October 11,2017. Under the leadership of Madam Principal Ms Alka Kapur, the students of classes VI-VII took it upon their shoulders to educate the people around Shalimar Bagh about the ill effects of burning crackers and to celebrate Diwali with candles and sweets. Children created a powerful aura in the vicinity with their thought provoking placards. Later, a  well scripted Nukkad Natak also spread awareness to celebrate the festival in a green, clean, safe environment and to create an atmosphere filled with the spirit of mirth, love and happiness and not a night of gloom, despair, accidents, health problems and environment

  Title : Exclusive Assembly on Pollution-Free Diwali

A special assembly emphasizing on Pollution-Free Diwali was conducted for the students on October 10,2017. An informative video was shown to the audience to stimulate their minds towards the hazards of bursting crackers. The morning session culminated with the an inspiring speech by Madam Principal Ms. Alka Kapur, who in her address motivated the students and teachers alike to celebrate a cracker free Diwali. Through her words of wisdom, she sensitized them towards cleanliness and nature. It was a delightful morning for all the spectators as they realized the worth of environment over short-lived joys.
