In a bid to heighten awareness and promote the production and consumption of millets, the United Nations, in tandem with the Government of India, designated 2023 as the International Year of Millets. Proudly, The Modernities embarked on a Phad painting odyssey, spotlighting the virtues of millets and supporting the government's endeavors to elevate their domestic and global demand. The artwork splendidly portrayed the entire millet journey – from sowing and growth to harvesting and transportation. The narrative unfolded through the personas of Bhup and Bhupi, injecting a cultural inquisitiveness into the young minds of our nation. This interdisciplinary venture seamlessly merged Science and Social Science, creating a captivating tapestry. Crafting this masterpiece proved to be an enriching journey for the entire team, expanding not only the students' horizons but also contemporizing the art form while preserving its authenticity.

Moreover, the endeavor amplified their grasp of color palettes and brush techniques.Through meticulous research and careful planning, students from Grades VIII, IX, and XI joined forces to create a magnificent 30-foot Phad painting, showcasing their unwavering commitment to preserving this vibrant and traditional art form.
